Litres For Education(LFE)logo-litres-for-education

Litres-For-Education(LFE) The Litres for Education Trust was founded in October, 2013 by Graeme and Zelda Schewitz. The trust has been formed to raise funding across all educational boundaries. The couple never intended the funds raised by the trust to go to formal education alone. LFE is raising funds to assist in educating a nation on how to be accepting and understanding of one another. LFE is unique because it is the first project to raise funds in South Africa out of the fuel industry. It makes simple sense as every single South African that has a vehicle needs to use fuel and the programme is not asking the motorist to donate out of their own pocket. We are asking people to change their filling station. If we consider that the average South African fills up twice a month, we are not asking a huge commitment from our supporters. Instead of using their existing service station we are asking the motorist to use a specific LFE service station. South Africa has over 4000 retail service stations and pump an average of 285 000 litres. LFE has an ultimate goal of building an LFE network from Musina to Cape Town. The volume of fuel pumped monthly in South Africa is astronomical and one only needs to apply basic mathematics to understand the financial potential LFE has for the many NPO organisations in South Africa. Educating people to understand wildlife conservation, the influence cancer has on our society, making people aware of the massive social problems we face as a country. LFE is raising funds for all walks of life and in so doing assisting many organisations big and small achieve their goals. The LFE concept is very simple. Fill your vehicle at a participating LFE service station and the LFE Trust will donate 10 cents per litre to your chosen beneficiary. We are busy building our network of participating sites. Our network stretches from Howick, Hilton, Pietermaritzburg, Hillcrest, Pinetown, Bluff, Morningside, Westville, Durban Central, La Lucia, Sibaya, Ballito, Glenwood and Umhlali. Our newest three sites are in Gauteng in Edenvale, Bedfordview and Sunnyrock. We are appealing to motorists to sign up on our website www.litresforeducation.co.za Print out your unique code and ask for an LFE sticker at a participating service station. Stick on your windscreen and start filling up to make a difference. 670A, Andrew Zondo Road, Athlone Park, Amamzimtoti, 4126 Ria Scholtz 082 414 4684 www.litresforeducation.co.za
